About Cafe TwoCann

The café is owned and run by husband and wife team, Dennis and Catherine Cann, hence the name TwoCann.

Dennis worked for a global IT Services company for 38 years before retiring in 2006. Catherine’s background was in hotels and did not realise that the throw away comment made one day some years ago that “a little coffee shop would be nice one day’ would come back in the guise of a listed building dating back to 1895.

The unit was just a shell when the lease was signed, local architects were asked to design an area that was sympathetic to the buildings industrial heritage but incorporated the modern comforts that we all expect.

The doors were opened quietly on 3rd April 2007.  The plan was, and still is to provide lovely things to eat and drink, served by nice people in a comfortable environment.   All this with the added bonus of being able to buy jewellery and gifts and have them gift wrapped.

If this sounds like the place for you, why don’t you pay us a visit?  Our busiest time is over lunch but even when there is a queue we do our utmost to make sure the wait is as short as possible.
